Lissa expresses her interests in food, farming, and gardening through volunteering with the Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners and as a board member of Slow Food Santa Fe. She is a regular shopper at the Santa Fe Farmers’ Market and takes every opportunity to encourage others to do the same! She also enjoys hiking and participating in Santa Fe’s many cultural activities.
Prior to her focus on food and farming, Lissa enjoyed a career in research administration and development first at UCLA and then at the Santa Fe Institute working with researchers to hone their grant proposal skills, linking them with funders and developing collaborative and transdisciplinary research projects.
